Pickleball Intro - Open Play for All Ages

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Intro to Pickleball is for those who are curious about the sport and would just like to pick up a paddle and try it out. Open to all ages and abilities, participants will be familiarized with the court lay-out (similar to tennis, but half the size) and shown the basics of the game.

Pickleball lends itself to those who are looking for some “social exercise” and for those who are somewhat competitive... after all it is a game you want to win! For those who have some racquet sports experience, learning pickle ball will be a fun, easy transition. It’s an athletic activity, so wear loose exercise clothing and court shoes or sneakers. Give it a try!

Location: Sherborn Tennis Court #1

Date: Saturday, September 28

Time: 10:00am-12:00pm

Cost: $10.00

*pre-registration required

Ruane Crummett, Pickleball Instructor
"I was introduced to the game of pickleball 5 years ago while vacationing in Florida. I immediately was “hooked” and became a student of the sport. As I gained experience, friends and players alike asked me for help and advice at a beginner level. I have since become an IPTPA Instructor and teach beginner and intermediate level pickle ball in Newton, Wellesley and Belmont. I impart patience, knowledge of the game, and encouragement to all my students. Many of who continue to learn and play pickleball at a recreational (fun) and/or tournament level. I always look forward to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm and helping “new players” get started in the sport/game of pickleball. It’s a fun game… so play and smile!"
